LAYERED EGG TERRINE

Very easy to make and a regular at our family Christmas Party, served with tortillas toasted in the sandwich toaster (sprayed with olive oil, sprinkled with sea salt and sesame or poppy seeds) and cut into triangles.

This is made in four layers in  a rectangular ceramic loaf sized dish:

Base Layer

  • 6 hard boiled eggs,
  •  3 tbs mayonnaise  –

mix together and spread in the dish to form the bottom layer,

2nd Layer

  • 1 finely chopped red onion, sprinkle on top of the egg/mayo mix

3rd Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese &
  • 2/3 cup sour cream,

beat together and spread on top of the onion.

Top Layer

  • black caviar.
